CapMetro has a plan to start having buses come every 10-15 minutes along Manor Rd., Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd., Enfield Rd., East 7th St., Metric Blvd., William Cannon Dr., Stassney Ln., and South 1st St., and many others; but the board is having second thoughts. If you support having frequent bus service along these major streets, please sign below and send a message in favor of this bold new plan.  For more information on why this is a good idea, please read here.

Too many hard working people in Austin depend on public transportation in Austin. It desperately needs to be improved not scrapped.

I like to take the bus as much as possible, but the long waits often make me grab the car. More frequent busses will improve bus-usage. Maybe not immediately but in the long run, when people see it is more convenient.

As someone who cares about people with disabilities and others who are unable to drive, Austin does far below the bare minimum to ensure equitable access to reasonable, reliable public transportation. Taking these measures to improve transportation by increasing the frequency of buses in our area would be a good start to correcting the situation.

I have been a CapMetro rider for nearly 25 years now and a current resident of the East Side. We need these changes!

While I would love to drive less and ride more, I encourage you to commit to this more on behalf of many of my neighbors that do not have an alternative way to get to work and school. The east side needs exceptional bus service.

When I worked downtown I would ride my bike because it was faster than riding the bus. It makes sense to increase the frequency of the Capitol Metro bus lines in East Austin to improve ridership and offer an efficient alternate mode of transportation. I tried to express this at a Mobility meeting this past summer but a Capitol Metro representative was Not in attendance—so frustrating. Hope this actually gets some action in the right direction.
